    The best relationships are between friends, and that’s what Hendersonville Speed Dating is all about.  You are just steps away from turning many strangers into new friends.
    In “Speed Dating” each participant is able to speak privately with every other participant of the opposite gender for several minutes in a structured, intimate environment.  Hendersonville Speed Dating events are parties, and participants are able to mingle and make plans after the timed interviews have ended.


2007   in downtown Asheville
      This is how it works . . . For each “speed date” one man and one woman are directed to sit at a private table and speak freely for a predetermined period of time.  At the end of the period, one of them switches seats, and then each of them indicates on a special form whether they wish to share contact information with the person they just met.
    A computer will later compare the contact cards of everyone at the event, and only those who mutually wish to share information will be given the name and number of the other.


We have very few rules at Hendersonville Speed Dating, and they are:
NO  PRESSURING  FOR  FUTURE  CONTACT.
GENERALLY  OFFENSIVE  BEHAVIOR.
SALES  OR  RECRUITING.

OK, LET’S GET STARTED . . .

STEP 1 - choose the ages of the people you want to meet.  We organize the events by these age groups, but as our friend and client, you are free to attend any event you wish, regardless of your age:

18 to 32         /         30 to 50         /         48 and up
You can see that there is a little overlap between the age ranges, so your particular age may fall into two ranges.

STEP 2 - check the EVENTS CALENDAR to find which events interest you.

STEP 3 - join the email announcement list by email (requires you send 2 emails) or by website (requires a Yahoo account) to stay informed on important announcements.  Don’t worry -- there is no spamming on this list.

STEP 4 - Reserve your place at the party!  We accept cash, checks, money orders, travelers’ checks, credit/debit cards, and PayPal.

  • Dress to impress.
  • Be certain you don’t have an upset stomach -- don’t be nervous, and eat something if you need to, such as some bread to calm your stomach.  An upset stomach can give you awful breath.  Liquor is easy to smell and makes an awful impression.
  • Don’t ask about anything too personal such as failed relationships or relationships between men and their mothers or women and their fathers.
  • Go with the idea that you are going to make friends rather than a requirement to find “Mr. Right” or “Miss Right.”  Be positive, have fun, and make friends.

    • Remember:  These are first dates.
